Jeremy Weinberg studied for a BA in Communications at Mitchell College (now Charles Sturt University) before completing an Associate Diploma in Hotel Administration and Catering at Ryde Catering College. He began his career working in some of Sydneys most exclusive hotels before moving into publishing and public relations.
He was assistant editor of Food Today and Hospitality (UK) and worked for London-based PR agency Wordsmith and Company where his clients included Raddison Hotels, Friendly Hotels, Compass Catering and The Isles of Jersey Tourism. He then moved to international agency Edelman Public Relations working on Mexico Tourism, Eurocamp and the National Dairy Council.
He worked for the Institute of Public Relations (UK) as the associations first public relations manager before moving back to Australia as an account director for the countrys largest public relations consultancy, Turnbull Porter Novelli, where his clients included Video Ezy, Thorn, Telstra and Operation Livewire for Shell.
A former BBC broadcaster and journalist on food and cookery, Jeremy Weinberg served as a council member with the Public Relations Institute of Australia (NSW) for two years and chaired its membership committee. He currently sits on the communications advisory board for the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
